Ever since an uphill struggle through Ivanhoe that left me feeling cold about whatever adventure there was happening inbetween the descriptions, I'm a firm proponent of light touch description and leaving something to the reader's imagination. :D Seeing how little description of characters we get from Lewis and how small a problem it is, I don't think you have to be too worried.
Now, curly-haired Pevensies, that's something I can't reconcile myself with. But it's food for thought - how many curly-haired characters do I imagine?
