But I think I should be able to participate again this year! Maybe even to beta. (Still pondering that one - I do have other things I promised to do to do over summer...)
I'm glad to be back! Looking back, my almost complete retreat from the fanfiction world went hand in hand with starting at a new job position and starting singing in the church choir in Autumn 2016. And then I also started learning Italian at work, plus there was Real Life Stuff Happening. Settling in the job took time, and in addition half the things my predeccessor taught me changed in the next two years, so it was really only this week I feel I finally caught up with myself there... I quit the choir this May because the amount of new songs to learn was taking too much out of me. So now I have lots of stuff to catch up on, including the NFE. :-) Beta-ing won't be happening, I've decided. There really are too many other things I ought to do with my time now.
Unless, you or Liz or anyone else I converse with semi-regularly would want me to go over your stories and check the spellings and stuff. I think I might be up for that - I kind of have an eye for that automatically, so it wouldn't be so taxing as a full beta-read.
